The emergence of regional and city offices is a relatively recent development in Brussels. We take a closer look at this phenomenon here and distinguish the various types of representation involved. We also provide a link to a downloadable study carried out by the Free University Brussels (VUB).
In addition to their own representations, the different regions and cities of the EU are represented by the Committee of the Regions (CoR). We give an introduction to the role of this key advisory institution and provide a link to a useful PowerPoint presentation.
